Commercial Building
& Remodeling
When it comes to businesses, we know construction timing is huge—you need to be up and running—and we work with you to schedule construction within your specific timeline and day-to-day of operations. Knowing environments enhance employee productivity, as well as customer experience and satisfaction, we ask questions such as:
What experience do you want your customers to have in your space?
What modifications could be made to improve employee productivity and efficiency?
Our decades of working with businesses of all sizes have afforded us an expertise with commercial projects, one which embraces the importance of value alongside functional and aesthetic goals for spaces.
Abejas Clothing Boutique
Named after the Spanish word for “bumble bee,” Abejas is an impeccably curated women’s boutique in Houston, Texas. CAM partnered with Abejas to renovate and build out a new, larger space according to the talented owner’s specific vision. CAM gutted the building to the exterior walls, installed a Belgian-inspired kitchen, and a quaint side garden. The endeavor—which required extensive coordination with the building’s landlord, City of Houston, and engineers—resulted in a fresh, distinctive space that reflects Abejas’ classic-yet-bohemian aesthetic.

Hunter Dance Center provides exceptional dance training to children, adults, and professionals in Houston, Texas. It is home to the wonderful professional dance theater company Open Dance Project and is also used for events, birthday parties, and summer storybook dance theater programs.
CAM worked with Annie Arnoult, Hunter Dance Center’s talented director, to transform a 9,000 square foot warehouse space into a multi-room dance and fitness studio. The project, which followed an aggressive timeline, involved building three large custom dance studios, a yoga room, a pilates studio, a custom kitchen, and office areas.

After a catastrophic roof collapse, a break in a high-pressure sprinkler line, and resulting large-scale flooding of their entire building, LetourneauKeller tasked CAM with executing major repairs and renovations on the 50,000 square foot space. CAM shored up the roof to prevent any further damage subsequently implemented a controlled demolition to expose and estimate the full property damage. CAM then coordinated with the business owners, insurance company, engineering experts, the architect, the City of Houston, and interior designers to build out the space within the allotted timeline, achieving results above and beyond everyone’s ambitious expectations.
Gallery Furniture
Gallery Furniture, one of Houston’s premier furniture stores, has worked with CAM for over ten years on various construction projects. When the company’s warehouse and showroom suffered devastating fire damage, Gallery Furniture turned to CAM to rebuild and remodel the nearly 200,000 square foot complex in several determinedly timed phases. The first phase of showroom repairs, which included updating the exterior and entrance, was completed within two weeks after the start of construction. Coordinating with a dynamic team of staff members, building owners, architects, engineers, and the City of Houston, CAM remodeled the NFCC space and built out an addition—all while minimizing disruption to the day-to-day work of the dedicated NFCC staff, including client appointments. One notable achievement of the project was seamlessly integrating the addition to the existing building in a manner that makes the addition appear original to the building.
